Emily and David’s Wedding - Houston, Texas

Earlier this month we attended Emily and David’s wedding at the Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church near the Rice University campus in Houston.

David is one of Chad’s childhood friends from Kansas and he is a commercial photographer.  We know their special day was well documented because David said there were about 7 or so photogs at their wedding.

Emily walks down the aisle with her father and holds hands with her soon-to-be husband.

Exchanging the rings…

The ceiling of the church was awesome!  And the sweet kiss!

The new Mr. and Mrs. David Schmitz!

This is my favorite from the day - their first dance.  You can tell they are so much in love!

They had a beautiful cake and I love the interaction between the two of them here as they are about to share “the sweetness of life” - their cake.

I like couples that choose alternatives to the traditional DJ.  Emily and David decided upon a Violinist and Cellist for their music.

One of the single guys caught the garter.  I sincerely hope he’s not the next to get married…

And one of the single gals really, really wanted that bouquet

You can see her laughing (probably with a sore rear after the spill), andeveryone else’s expressions are priceless!

And the new couple heads out…

Congrats Emily and David!

Big thanks to Mike!

My blog is semi-normal again! The links all work again!

Big super huge thanks to my good friend Christine Tremoulet’s husband, Mike, for helping me with all the computer techie stuff on my blog that I don’t understand… (which would be most everything but the typing part)

Subscribe to my blog on the now working RSS feed! Comments are back up. If you know Mike or Christine, leave one about how much they rock! :D

And hopefully now that I’m less ashamed about my broken blog, I’ll be catching up on blogging. Stay tuned……….

Back from Paris!

Bonjour y’all!

I didn’t have the chance to make a quick blog post before I left, but I’m back from super exciting and quick trip to Paris, France!  (No, not Paris, Texas, but it is pathetic how many people have asked me that.)

If you’ve sent me an email, I’m playing catch-up right now as I didn’t have internet access while I was away and I’ll respond back real soon!  I promise!

This was my first time ever overseas and I was so excited to get a fancy little stamp on my previously stark nekkid passport.

Of course, I took a ton of photos.  I captured many of the architecture which was absolutely stunning, but I’m always drawn toward people and I got many intresting shots of the masses.  I just grabbed one random photo that spoke “Paris” to me without being the overly obvious Eiffel Tower (which is still awesome) and made some quick edits.

Do you recognize the building?

Paris

Merci!

Jacque and Joe’s Wedding - Tomball, Texas

I had the opportunity to join Christine and Elaine at a lovely outdoor wedding last month at Events Etc. in Tomball. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I really do love to shoot with other photographers every chance I get. There’s so much to learn about their style, methods, and techniques, and it gives me a break from just shooting with Chad! :p

Here’s a short post with a few of my favorites.

All photos were taken by me for Christine Tremoulet.

Flower girls waiting on the bride…

The processional - heavily textured (just to mix things up)

The little ring bearer was making faces and goofing off with one of his buddies during the ceremony.

He was so silly and too cute!

kids + wedding = funny expressions

The new family. I loved the sky in this one!

I like finding unusual twists to the formal poses. (In this one, I was sitting on the ground.)

The ring bearer decided he didn’t want his picture taken anymore. (I think it was time to play?)

A toast to the new couple. I love the way she looks at her new husband!

Welcome blog readers!

Welcome to my new, improved and redesigned blog at its new location!
Please pardon my dust while I mess things up with the code until I find someone to fix my screw ups (or learn CSS, but that’s not likely).  ;)
But until then, peek around, leave me a comment about what you like or what you would like to see!

Thanks!
