As I mentioned in my previous post, I finally got my prices up on my website for almost everything I plan to offer. I even posted the prices for my wedding packages! It’s a controversial subject for many photographers (placing your prices on your website), and that you should meet a potential client in person before giving your prices (I guess so that you can rely on your charm), but I decided that I will try to be as open as possible to anyone who would consider hiring me for their wedding.
Anyway, aside from the serious stuff, the real purpose of this blog posting is to get advice from YOU, the reader for names to my new wedding packages!
I have 3 packages, currently named I, II, and III (yes, boring. I know.) But I need new names!
- Silver, Gold, Platinum (blah & cheezy w/ a “z”)
- Small Brown Bag, Medium Brown Bag, Large Brown Bag (playing off of the Niemann/Neiman Marcus thing, but with Bloomie’s)
- Swing, Sommerset, Signature (these are names of Tiffany & Co. collections)
- Decaf, Caffeinated, Half-caff-double-decaff
- Vogue, Glamour, Cosmo (okay, this so isn’t me)
- Empire, A-Line, Princess
- Unleaded, Premium, Diesel
- Dad always liked you best, Middle child syndrome, Spoiled brat (I think I’m on to something here!)
- Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate

OK I THINK YOU SHOULD NAME THEM AFTER DIFFERENT DIAMOND CUTS..EMERALD…PRINCESS…AND CUSHION..OR EVEN LIKE 1 CARAT, 2 CARAT, OR 3 CARAT! I LOVE DIAMONDS!
I like the birth order one. And the gasoline one. But you already knew that.
But seriously, my vote goes for gasoline.

I send my prices to people all the time - they always get them before we meet. I should actually just go ahead and put them back up on the website too. Someday soon, first I need to overhaul the package document!
